Biography
Prior to opening my firm, I was a surgical technologist. Years in the surgical discipline taught me to perform my duties with a sense of urgency so that I was prepared for any emergency. I learned to constantly anticipate the surgeons’ needs and remain vigilant to the condition of the patient.
I have carried that discipline over to my practice of law and the impact is very efficient case handling with an eye toward caring for my clients. Moreover, having raised two children as a single mother while working and obtaining my law degree from LSU, I am uniquely sensitive to those who need legal services but have difficulty paying. I believe in doing a good job for my client at a fair price. I try to offer solutions, not more complications, to people’s legal problems. It is my goal to act in a way that brings honor to my profession.
I am a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, and remain in good standing with Louisiana Supreme Court. Most importantly to me and hopefully to you, I am a member of The Associate of Family and Conciliation Courts, a consultation group of Judges, lawyers, and mental health care provides that work in Family Court to effect better outcomes for children subject to litigation. In other words, like the Court, we are most interested and work hard to help parents/custodians put their children first.
